Also known as the Minocqua - Tomahawk Chain, the Minocqua Chain of Lakes encompasses 6 bodies of water including 670 acre Kawaguesaga Lake to the west of Minocqua, then Lake Minocqua which is centrally located right on Highway 51 thru the city of Minocqua and offers 1360 acres.

Mid Lake has 215 acres of surface area with a maximum depth of just 13 feet.  It's located just southeast of Minocqua and west of Highway 47 between Lake Minocqua and Lake Tomahawk.  Its shallow waters warm quickly and bring strong fishing action when musky and northerns congregate here to spawn.

Lake Tomahawk is the chain's largest body of water offering 3392 acres and reaching depths of 84 feet.  The lake is located between Highway 51 and Highway 47 southeast of Minocqua.  Lake Tomahawk is home to a number of boat landings, popular resorts and sought-after residential real estate as well.

Little Tomahawk Lake is connected to the south end of Lake Tomahawk and has 160 acres, and is bordered by Bird Lake Road and County Highway D. It's a clear, spring-fed lake reaching 48 feet deep and is connected by a very shallow channel to Mud Lake which offers another 35 acres and maximum depth of 26 feet.

Pontoon Cruises are available to explore the chain in addition to many boat rentals so you can venture out on your own.
